Data Capturing Labelling & Annotation

2D Annotation

Autonomous vehicles object detection:

Used to train autonomous driving perception models for pedestrians, traffic signs, lane obstacles, indeed any objects that human eye can see.

We are also providing services for automatic detection of these objects through our automation tools based on needs of our customers.

Bounding Boxes

Bounding boxes are imaginary boxes around objects that are being checked for collision, like pedestrians on or close to the road, other vehicles and road signs. Both 2D and 3D co-ordinate system is used.

We offer services to our customers to detect & classify objects and annotate attributes for these classified objects. This includes pedestrian detection, traffic signs, traffic lights, pretty much all objects in the field of view. We act based on our customer needs as region of interest might change across projects & clients.

Polygon Labeling or Pixel Annotation

As part of polygon labelling we offer services to surround view labeling (Environment labeling), pedestrian labeling & joint labeling.

Pixel annotation is used to classify and annotate pedestrians, trees & all environmental objects.

Polyline Labeling

Polyline labelling is used to identify lanes & capture attributes.

Polyline labelling is used to identify lanes & capture attributes. Lanes varies very widely across countries. For ex in UK, continuous lanes, discontinuous short lanes, discontinuous long lanes, yellow lanes, Red lanes each of these have different meaning. The autonomous cars has to take different action for each of these lanes. We at Octans have the ability to classify these lanes and capture attributes accordingly.

Points Labeling

Points labelling is very important in case of identifying vulnerable road users. We at Octans identify the importance of this application and help our customers in points labelling.

There is a lot of attributes that needs to be captured as part of this labelling, which is includes face recognition (left eye, right eye detect if the driver is sleepy), skeleton labelling to identify if the pedestrians is signaling the driver for any hazardous condition ahead, or a traffic police indicating to stop the car.

3D Bounding Box Labeling

3D labelling is very important in case of Lidar collected data. LIDAR, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, is a remote sensing method that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure ranges (variable distances) to the autonomous car. These light pulses combined with other data recorded by the airborne system generate precise, three-dimensional information.

We help our customers with 3D labelling and classify these objects from the data obtained from LIDAR.

Radar Labeling

RADAR labelling is used to label data obtained from the RADAR fitted to autonomous cars.

This has its own application like parking assistance, identifying potholes etc. We offer services to label and annotate images captured by RADAR.
